Blog Control was created out of frustration over the lack of good information that was available about the different tools to use for my weblog. I would read individual thoughts on what they thought of the tool they were using, but I was unable to find a central source.
But then while chatting with one of my friends about the idea, he said why not review other aspects too? And thus, the idea was finished. I set out to create a site that would review all aspects of a blog, not just the tools that are available, but everything. From blogging tools to Review sites to hosting, it is all here.
But then I hit a wall. My other review site has a review staff. Reviewing tools and add ons and what have you shouldn’t be from a staff member’s point of view, but that of the user. So I decided that I would allow anyone to post a review about a blogging tool. Obviously one person’s thoughts on a product will not be as accurate as 100’s of users of that product.
